The next Miss America pageant will be held at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and is said to likely be hosted by Mario Lopez. Contestants and fans are all getting excited as this years beauties prepare to walk the stage for all the different levels of the competition.

This annual competition will be held on January 24th 2009 and will be aired on national television and is also likely to air live throughout most areas of the rest of the world.

In the past Miss America has turned a very large audience on TV and this year promises to follow in the same direction. Mario Lopez is currently in negotiations with regards to hosting the event and all the ceremonies.

This organization that runs the pageant has been doing so for over 80 years and gears to help these young women to achieve their dreams and give them a year filled with opportunity as their prize.

The young ladies will compete in several rounds of competition including an evening wear round as well as the ever popular swimsuit level. The show will run for approximately 3 hours and a final winner will be announced at the end of the program.

When asked, several of the ladies say that this competition takes years of preparation and they have been waiting for this moment their whole lives. The pageant will have representation from all the American states and represents a wide variety of diverse cultures, nationalities and backgrounds.
