Las Vegas Conventions Feel the Economy Dwindle

With Las Vegas being a popular destination for many conventions the start of a New Year will likely be a forecast for what is to come for the rest of the year. The first large scheduled convention show for the year is the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is to begin this week and is an annual show for Las Vegas and is held in the cities biggest convention center.

Even though the show is sure to please with plenty of new gadgets and wonders that are sure to impress, the turnout is suspected to be sufficiently less than that of last year as budgets for travel are being cut and everyone is experiencing losses. Another factor is that exhibitors are fewer due to much of the same reason as the turnout, companies are simply running out of money to be as innovative and as exclusive as they have been in the recent past.

Those that are planning to attend the show are likely to notice a change and move to towards green this year, which will be a much anticipated change from huge flash and glamour that was presented last year with the world’s largest televisions and other items that pretty much sucked all the energy that this planet has left to offer.

Rather than focusing on new there will likely be a shift to simply showing people and companies how to do things better and more efficiently. Exhibitors are said to be fewer by at least 10% but the show will still have quite a large number of things to see with over 2500 booths present.
