Topless Shows a Thing of the Past for Las Vegas

“Les Folies Bergere” is one of the last topless revues to be running in Las Vegas. The show has recently released that it will be putting on its last show in over 49 years at the end of March. The show currently takes place in a theatre at the Tropicana hotel and casino which is located centrally on the strip and is one of the oldest hotels to currently stand on the strip in somewhat original condition.

While topless shows were a dime a dozen sometime in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, this show and Bally’s hotel and casino “Jubilee” are the only two shows that are full topless shows that remain on the strip and so when this show takes the stage for the last time in March Jubilee will be the only topless revue that is to remain on the strip.

The hotel and casino has announced that there will be a new production of some sort to take place instead of the revue playing currently and that they were very happy to have a show of this calibre in their hotel and are proud to be a part of that stage in time.

Audiences are quite picky with what they do and do not want to see live theatre these days and most selections have been geared to shows from the Canadian originated Cirque De Soilel. Since Cirque came to town people are buying tickets to the newest show and are eating up the creativity and experience.

It seems as though topless theatre is becoming a thing of the past, even for Las Vegas!
