I’d Tapas That!
The Hard Rock Hotel has brought the world of tapas to Las Vegas in their Johnny Smalls restaurant.
Spanish, Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican, and American flavors can be found in Johnny Smalls’ drool worthy menu.
For those of you that are wondering, yes, Johnny Smalls is named after what you think it is. The atmosphere at Smalls also reflects the namesake as the décor is very eclectic, with its surreal murals on the walls of different subjects such as men, monkeys, mushrooms, and chairs that look like hands. No Johnny Smalls joint would be complete without the strained glass lighting that lends itself to the psychedelic vibe.
Johnny Smalls has many appealing qualities, from the no reservations required, to the over fifty small, but shareable dishes in many different cultural varieties. Chef Scott Minervini, who brings the most amazing flavors into the joint at reasonable prices to boot, heads Johnny Smalls. A nice array of beer and spirits, along with an extensive cocktail list make this a social attraction for the masses.
The hours of operation are limited, but open at the best times. Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, Johnny Smalls is opened from 5pm- 11pm. Friday, they open at 5pm, and close 3:30am. Saturday, they open 11am and close 3:30am. So, if you’ve been struck by the munchies, or just want a cool place to go chill out at, check out Johnny Smalls at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
