Summerlin Art Festival Is Back
Members of the Las Vegas art community were devestated when the Summerlin Art Festival was cancelled last year. But, in 2010, the wildly popular outdoor art fest is back with even more music, art and food.
“It’s our community’s favorite event. We have over 10,000 people visiting each day,” says a festival organizer. “It was really important for us to bring it back.”
This year, more than 100 artists from around the country will be displaying their artwork at the festival. This gives Las Vegas tourists and residents a welcome change to the normally-fast-paced lifestyle of the city, allowing them to take their time and enjoy some art and music.
Visitors can even take part! If you’ve got a creative vision that needs expressing, don’t be shy. For $5, the organizers will let you chalk the pavement with some of the country’s most talent sidewalk artists.
Tomorrow and Saturday, visit the SUmmerlin Centre Community Park to take part in the festivities. This is not an event that you will want to miss.
