Fireworks All Over Las Vegas

Last night, Caesars Palace put on a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate the Fourth of July. Earlier in the evening, a severe thunderstorm swept through Las Vegas, forcing tourists to seek shelter, and putting the fireworks display on hold. The weather delayed the show for 30 minutes, but thankfully did not stop it. Caesars Palace was the only resort on the strip that did a fireworks display on Sunday.

It is expected by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority that this Fourth of July weekend will bring in 292,000 visitors this year, an increase from 283,000 last year. It is also expected that these visitors will also spend an estimated $179 million this year, an increase from $173 million in 2010.
