Get Ready For Valentine’s in Las Vegas

The City of Sin is not well known for being the most romantic place in the world. Normally, you would expect Las Vegas to be home to countless one night stands and drunken shot gun weddings. However, Valentine’s Day just happens to be a big event here. The Las Vegas Sun spoke to several business owners in the area to find out just how romantic Las Vegas residents really are.

Every day in Las Vegas, 250 weddings take place at the various chapels and halls that the city is home. But, on Valentine’s Day, that number multiplies – in 2010, over 1200 weddings took place here and in 2009, nearly 1800! At the Little White Wedding Chapel, 100 weddings are scheduled for Monday, making it a very busy day in the wedding business.

At the Eiffel Tower restaurant, there are fifteen marriage proposals scheduled for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant offers some delectable proposal packages, worth anywhere from $500 to $11 000. If you’re a high roller, your package is likely to include a hot air balloon ride and a helicopter tour of the city!

Yes, Las Vegas definitely gets in the mood for romance!
