Las Vegas Convention Center To Undergo Makeover
The Las Vegas Convention Center will soon get a much needed facelift inside and out, after the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors approved a $5 million plan to update the dated convention center.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors are not the only ones that know an upate is long overdue to the convention center, as customers also think the convention center needs an update as well in aesthetics and comforts. Customer data was actually compiled from research conducted by the travel authority.
Fresh coats of silver paint will go on, of the $5 million budget, sixty percent of that will be spent on decor and aesthetics, thirty percent will be spent on refurbishing and refreshing the outside access area, and the remaining ten percent will be spent on service and support areas.
Thanks to Terry Jicinsky, senior vice president of operations of the Las Vegas Convention Center, this much needed make over is going to happen. After showing the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors his presentation, displaying pictures that highlighted the need for the makeover, the board was on board.
Commenting on presenting this to the board, Terry Jicinsky said “I was a little hesitant to show these slides, but in reality, it’s what we’re seeing today,” he told the group.”
