Las Vegas To Open Three New Art Exhibits
Las Vegas is popular for its many casinos, hotels, restaurants, and amazing entertainment. Now, they can also add art exhibitions to their roster of places to go.
Coming to Las Vegas are three new art exhibits, and in this day and age, an even rarer quality about these art exhibits is that they are all free to the public. Not “free on Wednesday after 5 p.m.” when they close at 6 p.m., literally, free to go and check out. All exhibits are also appropriate for all age groups, so feel free to bring the kids along.
The first exhibit will be photographer, Angela Bellamy’s “The Piano Project”. It is scheduled to start on August 25th, and run until October 27th at Charleston Heights Arts Center, located at 800 South Brush Street. The gallery hours will be from Wednesday to Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Get a chance to meet Bellamy herself, at the free reception at the gallery on Thursday, August 25th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The second exhibit is “The Best Little Pet Show in Vegas!”, and opens to the public September 1st, ending it’s run on October 27th. The exhibit can be found at the Bridge Gallery on the second floor of Las Vegas City Hall, and gallery hours are Monday to Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The work of numerous artists will be showcased, all images of pets. This will probably be the best exhibit to bring the kids to.
The third exhibit is the “Art Coming to Life/Visual Arts Exhibit” by Nja Onê. The artist’s work displays a love for history and world cultures. Starting September 14th and running until November 5th, this exhibit can be found at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, located at 947 West Lake Mead Blvd. The gallery will be opened Wednesday through Saturday, and the hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Saturdays, which will be 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
