Move Over Celine Dion! Shania Twain is in the House!

Seriously, Celine Dion is a French-Canadian powerhouse singer, and she’s been rocking The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace Las Vegas for a few years now. Shania Twain was a powerhouse country singer, but has been on hiatus for almost a decade. Does she really still have “it”?

Shania Twain’s life this past decade has been like something out of a soap opera. Her last studio album “Up!” was released in 2002. Since then, she’s had vocal problems, which impaired her ability to sing. She released a book and also starred on a reality show called “Why Not? With Shania Twain” documenting her difficulties, and the show is on featured on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. She no longer plans on continuing the show.

After close to ten years away from the stage, at the age of 45, Shania Twain is in Las Vegas, ready for a comeback. The Grammy-winning singer will start a two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Her show will start on December 1, 2012, and she will perform 60 shows a year. The Colosseum seats 4,300, and with tickets per show costing $150 each, Shania’s show stands to gross a whopping $79,200,000 over her two year residency at Caesars Palace.

Not a bad way to make a comeback!
