38th Annual UNLVino

The 38th Annual UNLVino kicked off yesterday, and finishes tomorrow. Offering up tastings of wines, sprirts, and beers, UNLVino has become Nevada’s oldest and largest wine festival around. Many of the tastings come from around the world, and are showcased to raise millions of dollars for Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada Raise Scholarship Funds, which benefit students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The event is for three days, and is in its second day today, with one more day left tomorrow. During this time, three recipients will be awarded the 2012 Dom Pérignon Award of Excellence. Those who are awarded this prestigious title are selected because they have “distinguished themselves by setting an example through their inspirational leadership, character and work ethic.”

Tomorrow’s event is Sake Fever, which is from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Mirage Pool. Asian delicacies will be abundant, while various sakes will be up for tasting. Cuisine will be a delectable delight, coming from restaurants like Japonais and FIN. Besides the delicious sake cocktails, there will also be handcrafted beers to attendees to enjoy. Tickets are $60 in advance, and $85 at the door.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy a night of fine drinking and dining, as well as charitable opportunity. Get your tickets at The Mirage Box Office and Bally’s Box Office. For more information, check out www.unlvino.com. Cheers!
