Clay Arts Opening June 11

The grand opening of the pottery studio, Clay Arts Vegas is this coming Monday, on June 11th at 10 a.m. The new pottery studio is located on 1511 South Main Street. As well as being a pottery studio, it is also a gallery. Officiating the ribbon cutting ceremony will be Councilman Bob Coffin.

During the grand opening, there will be pottery demonstrations, draw prizes, food, and even a Raku experience. If you can’t make it for the grand opening in the morning, don’t sweat it! The public is welcome to visit during the evening when the pottery studio and gallery gives tours, from 7p.m. to 9p.m.

The new pottery studio and gallery will offer classes in the ceramic arts from beginners to advanced level students. The pottery studio will be opened everyday, with classes taking place in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The gallery, which is called the Victor F. Keen Gallery will exhibit work from local ceramic artists, and also offer juried exhibitions.

Clay Arts Vegas will also be an authorized dealer for Laguna Clay in Las Vegas, which means they will maintain a great inventory of clay, glazes, and tools in their ceramic store, which is on-site. To learn more, check out their website at www.clayartsvegas.com.
