Imperial Palace To Become The Quad Resort & Casino

The Las Vegas Strip’s Imperial Palace has been called this for 33 years, but that is about to change. Caesars Entertainment announced that the Imperial Palace will become the Quad Resort & Casino.

The Quad Resort & Casino will become the gateway to Caesars’ new Linq retail and entertainment district. The resort is undergoing transformation, and improvements are set to be made in phases. The exterior façade, porte cochere, front desk, bell desk, hotel lobby, casino floor, retail promenade and dining levels will get some kind of work done to them. During construction, the resort will remain opened, and that will be for the next year. The Quad will feature modern designs and fixtures that are contemporary, and there will even be a dual-sided lobby bar, as well as new retail and dining areas, and a Starbucks.

The name change will be in effect after December, but there will be no new signage until the completion of construction, near the end of 2013.

Rick Mazer, the resort’s president, said in a statement “As we renovate and modernize the property, it was only appropriate that we also update the name.”

By November, guests will start to see the first of the renovations being done.
