Las Vegas Rocks In Fifth Place
Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of North America. With Casinos, shopping, shows, music, amazing restaurants, and so many other things, it’s not surprise that Las Vegas has become a “must go to” destination for many.
Now, Las Vegas can also be known for being a city with the biggest music fans around. According to the world’s largest online ticket exchange, StubHub, Las Vegas ranks fifth on StubHub’s “Most Rockin’ Cities” list for 2011. This rank was based on gross ticket sales per capita. Las Vegas’ most popular music event in 2011 was the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
The “Most Rockin’ Cities” list for 2011 by StubHub was released as part of their Concert Ticket Sales Report. It was their first annual review on concert ticket sales. The first ranking city was Hartford, Connecticut, although it probably helps that the ticket seller’s offices are also located there.
In second place was Boston, third was Miami, fourth was Atlanta, and of course, Las Vegas managed to crack fifth place on the list. Oddly enough, concert ticket prices have decreased over the years, but according to StubHub, in 2011, there was a huge increase in the number of sales, and percent-wise, it works out to be a 29 percent increase since 2007.
