Mandalay Bay To Become Delano Las Vegas

Next year, the hotel at Mandalay Bay will get a significant make over, with a new name and new interior. The gold tower is a 43 story beacon on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip.

MGM Resorts International announced on Monday that they would be partnering with Morgans Hotel Group for the launch of the brand new hotel replacing the one at Mandalay Bay. The new name of the hotel will be Delano Las Vegas.

The Delano Las Vegas will see be a brand new redesign of the hotel, and all 1,100 suites will get the make over treatment. On top of new suites, there are also design plans for new bars, lounges, night clubs, and even the restaurants.

The renovations are expected to be completed by the end of 2013, and the name change will also be in effect by then as well.

The president and chief operating officer of Mandalay Bay, Chuck Bowling, said in a statement “In keeping with our commitment to create superior experiences for our guests, transforming The Hotel into Delano Las Vegas will add a new dimension of energy and excitement to the Las Vegas Strip.”
