Trump Tower Sells 300 Timeshares

Donald Trump’s golden high-rise by the Las Vegas Strip is no long just a condo and hotel tower; it’s also now a timeshare.

It was announced on Thursday by the Trump Organization that they sold approximately 300 condominium units in Trump International Hotel Las Vegas. As for the buyer, it was none other than competitor, Hilton Worldwide’s timeshare division, Hilton Grand Vacations. The sale price was not shared. The Hilton plans on using the units as timeshare accommodations starting in Spring 2013

The building will still be managed by the New York based Trump Organization, and the hotel chain that is responsible for selling the timeshare intervals is based in McLean.

With the inclusion of the Hilton deal, Trump tower has actually sold more than 700 units. The average asking price at the tower is in the high $500,000 range, according to Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s son, and executive vice president of development and acquisitions.

With so many units sold, it seems like there aren’t going to be many units left to sell for much longer. The tower has 1,232 suites and 50 penthouses. With a little over half the suites now sold to time shares and others, it’ll be a matter of time when there won’t be any for sale.
