WSOP Big One For One Drop Winner Participating In WSOP Main Event

The WSOP Main Event kicked off on July 7th, and it’s been rolling along quicker than usual, leading many to speculate that the final table will be reached sooner rather than later. Although there are thousands of players that turned out for the event, numbers are down this year, so that may be a contributing factor as to why the final table will be reached sooner.

Another big rumour floating around is that Antonio Esfandiari, who is just fresh off of winning the WSOP Big One For One Drop event, will also win the WSOP Main Event.

The WSOP Big One For One Drop event was the first ever of it’s kind, and just finished wrapping up last week. Esfandiari walked away as tournament champ, winning a platinum champion bracelet, as well as a staggering $18.5 million, which is also a record breaker in poker prize history.

It is estimated that by the time the World Series of Poker Main Event final table happens, there will be millions up for grabs. Seven of the nine players will become instant millionaires, and the tournament champ will win $8.5 million.

It is still too early to predict who will crack the top nine for the event’s final table, but in all likelihood, Esfandiari will make it, especially since he has a fairly good chip count.
