While many celebrities will be in LA this weekend for the eighty second Academy awards the fans in Las Vegas will be having their own Oscar parties and celebrating the Oscars while watching on the big screens and maybe even making a few wagers in the sports books. There are many new movies that will be appreciated at this event and many Oscars will be given out to celebrate the great achievements of the actors and actresses that bring life to the Hollywood big screen that so many people like to watch.

The club PURE is located in the lobby of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas at the center of the strip. The club is known as one of the best and most popular hot spots for night time entertainment in the city. Many enjoy the red carpet theme and the treatment of royalty as many that visit the club have the money to drop. There are many nights of the year that the stars are out and this Valentine’s Day weekend will be one of those nights as Heidi and her Husband Spencer Pratt will be the two that are hosting this Red Carpet event.

The event will take place on Sat Feb the 13th and booths are available for reservation at a bit of a steep price as bottles range from prices such as $500-over $2000 per bottle. It seems there are is a lot of news with respect to real estate in Las Vegas these days. Just recently we told you about the foreclosure sale of Nicolas Cages Las Vegas magnificent mansion and we have also learned that a couple just purchased a home that was regularly rented by the late Michael Jackson. This home was firmed up closed on Tuesday and was purchased by a California couple for 3.1 Million dollars. The home was also in the banks name as it was purchased in Foreclosure from the financial institution.

Not sure if 3.1 million dollars is a bargain because it is still quite a bit of money and not affordable for most people living in North America today but someone sure feels that this is a deal as the same real estate in Las Vegas was sold and valued at 6.4 Million dollars just two years ago. This home is located in Northern Las Vegas.

The home boasts 7 bedrooms on a massive property. It houses an orchestra room as well as several other great rooms for entertaining including a large theatre. The gated outside grounds are even better than the interior as there are multiple tennis and basketball courts on the property as well as a swimming pool that is of a great large size.

Many are picking up luxury real estate in the Las Vegas area due to the lowest prices in the last ten years. Those that said the US recession is over are surely not speaking about all areas of the US because there is clearly a problem that continues throughout many major cities.

So that sounds great doesn’t it? Selling a piece of real estate in Las Vegas for 4.95 Million dollars? Well the truth of the matter is the property was in foreclosure and the home sold for more than 3 million dollars less than what Cage paid for it about 3 years ago. The star bought the house in a great area of Las Vegas for 8.5 million dollars in 2006. Since the down turn in the economy Cage has experienced quite a few losses and so had been put in foreclosure on several of his properties. He said that he paid over 70 million dollars in taxes to the IRS in total and owes 14 million more dollars in taxes to the great collection agency yet again.

The property in Las Vegas was snapped up within one day. It was on the market for less than 24 hours before someone decided to jump onto the opportunity to own a home that is over 14,000 square feet in total space. Located at 5100 Spanish Heights drive, this home has 6 full bedrooms for everyone in the family to enjoy along with 7 lavish bathrooms, a 16 car garage for all your vehicles as well as a private theatre room and an elevator if you don’t feel like using one of the several staircases.

There is plenty of foreclosure luxury real estate in Las Vegas today unfortunately those missing out are losing to someone that is benefitting in a great way – you just have to have the money to afford it!

The popular TV show Top Chef starts its sixth season off in about a week. The show Top Chef: Las Vegas will premiere on the Bravo network on August 26th. The reality TV show is competition between 17 specially selected candidates that compete in food making and cooking competition on a weekly basis that eventually make one of the contestants a winner and crowned the Top Chef of the season.

This seasons show will be taking place in Las Vegas and will have guest appearances from many of the city’s top chefs such as Wolfgang Puck, Nigella Lawson, and Tyler Florence. There will be other star appearances with famous people such as Natalie Portman among others as well.

The reality show wouldn’t be complete without some type casted personalities, members of the cast and contestants include a yeller and screamer, a soar loser, an anger man, a hot female and a little bit of everything else in between.

The shows sees the contestants perform in food making competitions on every episode and at the end of each show a member of the contestants is voted out. Then the top chef of that show is rewarded with a prize.

The winner of the entire season wins 100,000 dollars in cash, 100,000 in spending money at Macys, and a featured page in food and wine magazine which is considered to the be crème de la crème in the food and drink industry. This season is sure to be a good one, especially since it is in Vegas so mark your calendar and tune in.

There are always people that dream of celebrating their twenty first birthdays in style in Las Vegas. Well this is completely normal for celebrities and children of the celebrities as well. Rumer Willis, who is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore got to do just that this weekend as she turned 21 in Las Vegas.

The 21 year old actress brought in her birthday as many only dream of doing surround by 55 guests at the TAO nightclub in Las Vegas at the Venetian hotel. The entire party was sectioned off in a very private VIP area where only guests and waiters/waitresses were permitted to pass.

The party included many celebrities and friends and family. Ashton Kutcher who is the husband to actress Demi Moore was there front and center along with many others that are surely to be considered A-list.

The party was a great success and the guests, including the birthday girl did not depart the club until 4am. Needless to say they were one of the last groups to leave.

Apparently the family had quite a divine weekend of entertaining all around as Rumer enjoyed many endless hours of shopping throughout all the great shops that the Las Vegas malls have to offer. She spent the weekend in a penthouse suite and was waited on hand and foot as a 21 year old princess that she is.

The home of the doctor that was with Michael Jackson on the day of his death was searched several times by various government authorities this week. The home of Doctor Conrad Murray was searched in Las Vegas by the DEA and another government agency on 2 separate occasions. They are looking for evidence of manslaughter as there was a trace of Diprivan (a drug that is used by prescription only as a sleeping aid) in Michael Jackson’s blood.

The autopsy results have not yet been returned to the officials but there are things that point to Michaels death being more than just a regular accident. The super star was having trouble sleeping in recent times due to all the reported excitement that he was experiencing preparing for the concerts that were coming up and the concerts that he was recently in.

The doctor did say that he was taking certain sleeping aids but the medication in question could have stopped Michaels heart from beating which would mean that this particular medication had cost him his life and killed him.

There has been quite a bit of action in Las Vegas surrounding Michael’s death. While the city is in close proximity to Los Angelos, that actually had nothing to do with the matter. There have been talks that Michael had plans to purchase a home in Las Vegas and now this situation with Michaels Las Vegas doctor.

One Las Vegas realtor is claiming that Michael Jackson had plans to build a Las Vegas mansion and call it his Wonderland. The plans said that the home would have had underground tunnels, stables with horses as well as a play area for his three children that would be visiting him often or maybe even living with him.

He said that he loved Las Vegas as it was a like a Neverland for adults and that the mansion would be similar to his Neverland home that is currently in California. The realtor mentioned that the home would need about 5 million in renovation to make to Michael Jacksons standards.

The deal was to be made after the final tour that Michael Jackson was to complete next year but obviously the plans will not be followed through as the star was more in debt than ever before at the time of his death.

The city of Las Vegas had confirmed that the story was in fact a true one as he visited many hotels on this trip to find a home and made sure to discuss his plans of relocating to the city and building this amazing home on a very big piece of land.

Las Vegas is saddened by the death of Michael and passes their condolences to the family and those mourning his loss. Would have been great to have the star make a home here and see everything that he would have done!
