Sin City’s Sindy

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Who’s that? Well, she’s the unmissable 31 foot stripper on Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile located at Stripper Bar which just opened last month. The first and only bar in Las Vegas run by strippers, Stripper Bar will become a hot attraction for tourists and the community. Her legs are the gateway to the Stripper Club’s bar, where you literally have to walk through them. Be careful though! She will be taking pictures of all those who dare to peek up her skirt from her crotch cam! Those who peek can actually purchase the photo of their pervy behavior to take back home.

Nick named “Sin City Sindy”, she was designed and built by David Saxe and his graphics team over the course of 10 months. Perhaps the most expensive stripper ever, I’d say the lady is worth the $150,000 she cost. Why so much? Well, she wasn’t cheap to make, with her hand carved body, her steel frame, fiberglass shell, and custom paint job. Weighing in at over 2,500 pounds, she had to be brought to the Stripper Club in two pieces and put together there.

With Sindy taking up all the attention, it’s easy to forget that this is still a strip club, sans actual stripping. Every half an hour, a waitress or bartender performs a pole dance at the centered circular stage in the middle of the bar. Though she will remain clothed, the pole dance will be sexy enough that you won’t need to see any clothes come off. If you like what you see, you can actually take a class or two, from the waitresses themselves as they also are Stripper 101’s instructors!

Great food and drinks can be found at Stripper Club, so go check it out next time you’re in Vegas!

Las Vegas to Hold Oscar Parties this Weekend

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

While many celebrities will be in LA this weekend for the eighty second Academy awards the fans in Las Vegas will be having their own Oscar parties and celebrating the Oscars while watching on the big screens and maybe even making a few wagers in the sports books. There are many new movies that will be appreciated at this event and many Oscars will be given out to celebrate the great achievements of the actors and actresses that bring life to the Hollywood big screen that so many people like to watch.

There are several hotels that will be showing the Oscars in the sports books but if you are a true sports fan not into the Oscars please don’t worry as there are always screens in the sports book that focus on the latest sporting event as that is the primary interest of the sports books in Las Vegas anyway.

When there is a big event happening in LA, Vegas tends to quiet down a little as the two are close in proximity and many would visit one location versus the other. It is rumoured that several stars will actually be heading to Las Vegas the following weekend to enjoy some March Madness basketball and relax from the previous weeks anxiety of the Oscars and all the build up leading up to the big night that will leave so many people proud and others a little disappointed. But there is always next year and there are many more movies that are sure to hit the big screens in the meantime.

Enjoying the Encore in Las Vegas

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

One of the newest hotels on the strip is Steve Wynn’s second masterpiece called “the Encore”. This hotel is almost a replica to the original Wynn tower with an even more lavish look and feel. Visitors to the Encore will enjoy the best of the best and are sure to be satisfied with their experience from the minute they walk through the doors to the time that they check out.

The hotel shares their casino with their sister the Wynn. There are plenty of lush restaurants and great clubs to entertain. There are some of the more high end shops that one can imagine located on the lobby floor and the service at the hotel is always top notch! If you have ever wanted a truly
notable experience this is the hotel that you should stay at.

The casino and amenities are well in line with the rest of the experience. Almost everything in the Encore and the Wynn is priced at a premium versus any other comparable reservation in Las Vegas.

But those that have enjoyed the experience these two hotels have to offer have said that travel should always be this pleasant. The hotels sees few if any dissatisfied customers and the list of those that like to come often is built up of only the most elite clientele.

If you aren’t quite ready to shed the big bucks for a memorable trip to one of these hotels the least that you should do is take a stroll through the hotel and casino to enjoy the sites and see what you have to look forward to once you are ready to stay there.

Simon Can See “X Factor” in Las Vegas

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Simon Cowell is famous for many things these days but mainly famous for his role as the Judge that you love but some hate on TV’s very popular and very watched American Idol. Cowell is also one of the people that is hugely responsible for the success of the “The X Factor” which is a very popular singing competition in the UK.

Simons next move is to bring the X factor to American TV and give it a go in Las Vegas. He said “ how alluring would it be to let participants know, you have made it on to perform in Las Vegas!!”. Critics are saying that this may in fact be a great move and steer the other competing show “Americas Got Talent” into forms of talent that are other than singing.

Talks have begun to see if this will actually hold true and come forth to reality. In the meantime those winners from Americas Got talent have also made it to Las Vegas but in a different way. It is interesting to see these shows evolve and how big stars can be made out of regular people just like you and me!

And as life changing as the experiences that these shows offer, it is also great entertainment for those that are simply interested in watching the shows from home on TV. Many just want to know that the shows are taking place in cities that they can identify with and have been to those places in the past!

Catching the Best Deal at Vegas Hotels

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

You may not giving away your email with the fear of being overwhelmed with a ton of junk hitting your inbox everyday but when it comes to making a big savings on your next vacation to Las Vegas you may want to sacrifice getting a bit of spam in order to get the best deal around and most likely be one of the first to know about it also!

There are many ways to get a bit of a discount when booking your travel reservations. But becoming a member of your hotels VIP email list is the best way to know about everything that is going on at any given time. For example, if you were a member of Harrah’s email list at this time you would certainly know about the great hotel rates that they have going on right now and all the latest information on the Halloween events that the company has planned as well.

The hotels and casinos have a special marketing department that looks after those people on the email list and sends them unbeatable deals that are exclusively for email members. Here’s an idea that we thought of, if you aren’t a fan of receiving a ton email into your inbox on all different topics, you may want to consider creating a special email that is solely for promotions and then you can give out that address and only check the email when you know you need something rather than having a whole bunch of junk coming into your inbox all the time!

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Las Vegas visitors are lucky to be visiting the city these days because they have the opportunity to catch the fabulous and amazing Terry Fator in action at his hit show at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. The comedian has become quite the hit since he won the top place on Americas Got Talent.

The show has bread a few successes but none quite as successful as Terry Fator. The show tickets sell for about 50-300 dollars and can be purchased directly at the mirage or beforehand by calling the concierge service at the Mirage hotel directly or online as well.

The critics are saying that he is absolutely a great hit and the best hidden talent to stumble upon in a long time. Those that have seen the show rant and rave about saying that it is surely something that they would consider seeing again and they also say that they would recommend it on to friends and strangers.

Shows in Las Vegas come and go and this one is set to be there for a little while at a minimum and may actually be extended to be on longer because it is doing even better than expected. If you are planning to be in Vegas in the next little while it is a good idea to try to catch this show if you are going to see anything at all! Remember to get your tickets early if you plan to get better seats as tickets do sell out pretty quickly and since Vegas is booking faster now than in the last year!
