Las Vegas Becoming City Center Bringing in the Crowds

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Well even though the economy has seen some better days and the city centre isn’t bringing sold out crowds as we are sure they had hoped? The City Center is sure driving some of the economy in the city at a minimum. With many review written and videoed about the new masterpiece throughout the world, it is surely grabbing the attention of many Vegas visitors and leaving surprised and pleased.

Here are a few things that people had to say about the new mammoth of a building center. “I have never seen anything like it, I came from New York so buildings aren’t foreign to me, but this is something else. I really enjoyed all the restaurants and elite treatment that the city center had to offer but most of all it feels special to be in something so new”.

Another comment was “ I feel like this was meant for royalty, and while that I am not at this time, it is nice to escape to something that feels this way! I will be sure to return and must remember who beautiful it will all be in the summer months”.

Its nice to see what a positive reaction it is getting from the visitors to the city. Many say that the city center will likely continue to do better if they can pull through a time that is not as strong as it would be if the economy was doing better all around. In the meantime its a good time to take advantage of better rates and if you are planning a trip to those parts anyway what a great way to spend your vacation!

Some Not So Thrilled About Las Vegas City Center

Monday, December 28th, 2009

While many love everything big, new and exciting, some say that they are not so thrilled about the arrival of the new City Center in Las Vegas. The city center is the biggest privately funded construction property in all of the US. There are building upon building in the development which virtually constructs a city within another city already!

There are a ton of shopping facilities, restaurants, boutiques, hotels, residences and of course casinos. And many are saying that this is simply the worst time in the economy that something like this could have opened its doors.

The other newer projects on the strip include the Palazzo from the Las Vegas Sands corporation which is a sister hotel to the beautiful Venetian and of course the Encore which is the sister hotel to Steve Wynn’s masterpiece known as the Wynn. While these hotels are new and beautiful they have had a really tough time filling up the rooms with the severe recession that the country has been experiencing.

It will be interesting to see how this new city centre does over the next little while but in the meantime many are upset that so much money has gone into this project that is clearly not a necessity and are hoping that it doesn’t affect the potential success of the other hotels and business in the area and the surrounding facilities in the city that’s trying to succeed and doesn’t need any more competition already.

The Beautiful City Center

Monday, December 14th, 2009

The City Center which is conveniently located in the center of the strip on the Las Vegas Strip may be exactly what the city needed to create some kind of momentum for the end of what has been a rather unprofitable year for the Las Vegas economy as well as the rest of the US economy!

The City Center is one of the world’s largest self encompassed indoor cities to date and is sure to bring at least a small quantity of tourists! This is exactly what the city needs as there are so many vacancies currently available and although this adds to the quantity of rooms that are available it also creates a need to see something new that was never available in Las Vegas before.

The city center is different from any other new hotel in that it encompasses so much than just a simply single standing new hotel building could offer. This masterpiece is a combination of several major hotels, several casinos, a plethora of shops and restaurants and so much that it is just too much to describe or even imagine.

They are saying that there is nothing like this City Center anywhere else in the world and that this will definitely an attraction for many travelling into the states from all over the globe. People that are travelling to the US are encouraged to take a stop in Las Vegas and tour the new city center so this should surely create hype in Las Vegas and lend to a much busier vacationing venue!

Vegas Can’t Handle the CityCenter

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

While the idea of the CityCenter seemed exciting and great for the first few years of planning and even more so when the project first broke ground. The question that many are asking themselves and other sources now is, Can Vegas handle the CityCenter? Unfortunately the scary answer to some of the questions is actually no!

The CityCenter that is yet to be completed sits on a total of 76 acres of land making it the biggest developed building combined project in the US. The hotel and residences is really all a small city but on a strip with so much going on already and the market would really have to be at its complete peak in order to occupy all the rooms that this hotel actually has available.

The problem lies almost any direction that one would look. The project has already cost millions and millions and millions of dollars. There deadline for completion is only weeks away if they are still aiming for a December opening and they are knee high in debt from start to finish.

Projects like this one rely heavily on the economy in question and until it changes for the better and stays so for quite some time it will be interesting to see what the owners of this one will do to recoup their losses and try to move forward. In the meantime, it is sure to be a beauty once it is completed so if you are planning a trip to Vegas in the beginning of next year be sure to check it out!
