If you are looking for a poker room to call home when you are in Las Vegas, then you have a rather large selection. Which one is the best place in Vegas to play poker, really that will be up to you and dependent on what you are looking to get out of the experience.

If you are looking for a limit hold’em game, then the Bellagio but a lot of players prefer the Aria. Some other great places to check out will be the Ivey Room, The Wynn, the Mirage and the Venetian. The Venetian is the best bet, it’s incredibly large and is always busy with different limit games. If you are looking to buildup your bankroll the Venetian is a great place to start.

Get Green for Being Green

This is the first I’ve heard of this kind of offer…

Now, how many people have ever gone to a hotel, stayed a few days, and chosen not to have their room cleaned everyday? It is nice to come back to your room with a freshly made bed, and the mint/chocolate on your pillow, but do you really need that?

Here’s what the Hilton Las Vegas is doing for it’s guests when they choose not get their room cleaned the next day of their stay: a $10 food/drink voucher!

This is actually part of the Hilton’s “Go Green” drive going on now, and it’s actually not that horrible. You start off with a fresh clean room, and just by simply not getting your room cleaned the next day, you don’t get your bed made, and things are tidied up. Here’s what they don’t tell you though: You can easily take your trash out to the hallway garbage bins, and you can trade your used towels for freshly laundered ones. Not too bad, and you get something out of it, plus you’re helping the environment!

It’s pretty easy to get in on this deal. All guests have to do is call before 1am, and click the green “Go Green” button on the room phone and tell the phone representative that you’d like them not to clean your room. Pretty simple!

Online Gambling Starting to Become Legal in the U.S.

Monday, June 20th, 2011

…And the first state to legalize online gambling should come as no surprise. Home of Las Vegas, the State of Nevada is the first state to legalize online gambling.

It’s about time really. So many countries have already jumped on the legalization wagon, and it’s a pretty smart financial move on their parts. The profits of online gambling have been going up more and more each year, and governments are come to realize that this is a big cash cow that they need to milk.

Of all the States to legalize online gambling first, Nevada makes the most sense, after all it is home to the most land based gambling. Now before everyone goes and assumes that online gambling is legal across the U.S., hold your horses! Thanks to the Governor of Nevada, Brian Sandoval, online gambling is legal on a state level after he signed the interactive gaming bill. That means the bill is only state level, and not federal level. Unfortunately, online gambling is still unregulated at the federal level.

Is the legalization of online gambling underway across the U.S.? It certainly looks like it could be headed that way! Keep your eyes opened! Maybe another State will be joining Nevada soon!
